Sapphire Knives

Stephens sapphire knives offer an edge comparable to that of a diamond knife with a price near that of a stainless steel surgical instrument. The high density of the gem material allows for a very sharp precision edge that reduces trauma to the wound and recovery time following surgery.

The neutral chemical properties of sapphire gems prevents the infiltration of organic material and hence allows for repeated sterilizations without foreign material residuals. This enables the doctor to utilize the knife for repeated uses.

The handles are spring action bayonet style for protection of the gem when not in use and for easy positioning prior to surgery. The stainless steel handles have gnarling to aid in secure grasping during the procedure.
