The DiMarco Forceps Exclusively at Stephens Instuments S5-1836 S5-1837 (with lock) This forceps is specifically designed for implantation of the MENTOR MemoryLens®. It allows implantation through a smaller incision, (3.0mm scleral tunnel or 3.2mm clear cornea) and facilitates consistent (in the bag) placement of the leading haptic and optic with one maneuver. Implantation through a smaller incision, 3.0mm. Eliminates the need to dial the lens in order to insert the leading haptic. It is less traumatic and requires less manipulation of the MENTOR MemoryLens®, therefore, making insertion safer and faster (approximately 15 seconds). Does not require any other special instrumentation other than the DiMarco Forceps. The MemoryLens® can be implanted irrespective of pupil and/or capsulorrhexis size. Demonstration video available. Stephens Instruments’ craftsmen will work in conjunction with the doctor to develop new designs or modify existing instruments. Prototypes can be made quickly for trial and any additional modifications that are required will be performed in a timely manner. Stephens’ desire is to bring to realization your ideas even though exact specifications may not be available at the onset. Our experienced craftsmen are ready to offer any design assistance if necessary. Stephens Instruments will be happy to work with you in the introduction of the new instrument to other doctors who may benefit from your new concepts and designs. Instructional videos if available can be offered with the instrument for guidance in the use of the new instrument and/or procedure. New instruments will be promoted through advertising with the doctor’s approval.
